Two in the afternoon, and the B1 corridor of the College of Social Sciences goes quiet. Someone comes in with lecture notes under one arm, orders a fruit tea, and takes the seat by the piano.
The piano belongs to our owner. It stands in a corner of the shop, kept for anyone who loves music. Maybe one day a melody will start here, and the students at the next table will set down their chopsticks to hear it through.
A song, a good cup of tea, a table of good food. Between one class and the next, everyone needs somewhere to sit down. Years from now you may forget what that lecture was about, yet still remember the piano that day, and the little sweetness of jam at the bottom of the cup.
Something to remember these years by.
